Canada Market Update
Lentils
★ The green lentil market continues to struggle this week. Buyer demand remains sluggish, putting pressure on prices.  
★ Red lentils are holding steady. This week’s spot price is around 33.5 cents/lb, while new crop red lentils are trading at 29 cents FOB farm. 
★ Old crop large green lentils are priced around 51 cents/lb, while new crop is trading between 40–42 cents/lb FOB farm.  
★ New crop small green lentils are trading near 35 cents/lb, with old crop bids around 45 cents/lb.  
★ Overall, lentils still offer a solid economic return compared to other crops.

Peas
★ Pea markets remain relatively unchanged this week. Buyers are purchasing in small volumes to meet immediate needs, with little interest in large-volume deals.  
★ Yellow peas are stable at $9.50–$10.00/bu FOB farm.  
★ New crop yellow pea bids range from $9.00–$10.00/bu FOB farm.  
★ Green peas traded earlier this week at $16.50/bu FOB in limited volumes. New crop green peas are being quoted between $12.50–$13.00/bu FOB farm.

Kabuli Chickpeas
★ Chickpeas are seeing a slight rebound this week as buyer interest picks up.  
★ Current bids are around 36 cents/lb picked up on the farm, with higher demand for 9mm sizing.  
★ A good supply is expected for the 2025/26 season.
