Harvest pressure may be a factor as record acreage appears to be progressing smoothly across much of the country. The lack of export sales data and difficulty in tracking the current pace of sales are also causing some uncertainty among traders.
China’s monthly report released Thursday morning kept the production estimate unchanged at 296.16 million metric tons, while the import estimate was reduced by 1 million tons to 6 million tons.
