According to the information received, the almond production of America in the year 2023 was 2470 million pounds, which has increased to 800 million pounds in the year 2024. According to the news received so far, there is news of production being 3000 million pounds in the current year 2025.

Export price

Sources say that the price of new shipment of August month in California is being quoted at $ 2.4 per pound, while the shipment price of September month is being quoted at $ 2 per pound. But there is no buying at the current prices. Because due to increasing production, there is a possibility of buying that soon the price will come down to $ 1.80/1.85 per pound, after which the buying will increase.

Import increased

In the first six months of the current year 2025, Indian importers have imported almonds in large quantities. According to an estimate, during January-June 2024, Indian importers imported 5722 containers (each container 20 tonnes) and during January-June 2025, 6947 containers have been imported. There are indications that imports will remain good in the coming days as well. Traders say that due to increasing tension between China and America, China will reduce the import of almonds from America. Due to which imports are likely to increase in India.

Fall in prices

Due to increasing imports and weak demand in spot, the prices of Badamgiri are being quoted with sluggishness in the Indian markets. Currently, the price of Badamgiri in Delhi market has come down to Rs 715/720 per kg. Whereas at the beginning of the current month, the price is being quoted at Rs 735/740. Looking at the current situation, the sentiment in the market still remains sluggish.

Traders say that there is no possibility of a rise in prices in the near future, but after the festival season begins, prices may rise, which will be for a short time. After the festival season is over, prices will again start falling. Because due to increased imports during the first six months of the current season, stockists have sufficient stock.
