Decline in Rice Export Prices
★ With the arrival of the new crop, the availability of rice has increased. Additionally, several exporting countries are also reducing their prices.
★ Yesterday, AgroCorp placed a bid in a tender to Bangladesh for 50,000 tons of rice at a low price of $434.77 per ton.
★ The price of Indian 5% broken parboiled rice is currently between $418-$428 per ton, compared to last week’s price of $429-$435 per ton. On the other hand, the price of 5% broken rice has increased from $395 to $405 per ton.
★ The price of Vietnamese 5% broken rice has reached $404 per ton, marking the lowest level in 29 months.
★ In January, Vietnam exported 527,000 tons of rice.
★ The price of Thai 5% broken rice has decreased to $415-$420 per ton, compared to last week’s price of $450-$455 per ton.
