Drop in Oil Stock at Indian Ports
★ As of 31st May 2025, the total oil stock at major Indian ports stood at 683,312 tons, reflecting a 5% decrease compared to 15th May.
★ CPO (Crude Palm Oil) stock declined by 8% to 161,535 tons, while OLN (RBD Palm Olein) witnessed a sharp drop of 26%, falling to just 67,316 tons.
★ Crude Soybean Oil stock increased by 4% to 220,050 tons, whereas Crude Sunflower Oil saw a marginal decline of 3%, standing at 222,167 tons.
★ The 'Other Oils' category recorded the highest drop — a steep 69% decline, with stock levels at only 3,973 tons.
★ With the Indian government reducing import duties on crude oils, crude oil imports are expected to rise while imports of refined oils may decrease in the coming months.
★ Only refiners and Consumer will be benefitted and Its not good for Farmers and Domestic Traders.
