Pigeon Peas
★ This year, the pigeon pea planted area is expected to increase by about 10%, with projected production ranging between 210,000 to 220,000 tons.

★ Desi chickpea production is likely to be between 110,000 to 120,000 tons, slightly lower than last year.  
★ Farmers may increase cotton acreage as the government has provided significant subsidies for cotton, making it a more attractive option.

★ This year’s mung bean crop has been decent, with estimated production still holding between 40,000 to 50,000 tons.  
★ So far, around 25,000 tons have been auctioned via TMX, with some stock still remaining.
