New Delhi: With the objective of curbing irregularities, malpractices, and the misuse of government schemes, the Central Government has formulated a new rule.

Under this regulation, the financial assistance provided through the 'Kisan Samman Nidhi' scheme will be disbursed exclusively to those farmers who possess a 'Farmer ID' (Farmer Identity Card). Furthermore, based on this very identity card,

farmers are provided with an annual financial assistance of ₹6,000—disbursed in three installments of ₹2,000 each—which is deposited directly into their bank accounts. Farmers have been instructed to obtain their respective IDs; those who fail to do so may be deprived of the benefits offered under various government schemes.
