Gujarat to Begin Farmer Registration for Pulses, Oilseeds MSP Sale from Sept 1

Gandhinagar. The Agriculture Minister of Gujarat has announced that the farmers of the state who are willing to sell their Kharif pulses and oilseeds crops - groundnut, soybean, urad and moong at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM ASHA) can get themselves registered between 1 to 15 September 2025.

The Agriculture Minister said that the campaign of advance registration has been started so that the benefit of MSP can be ensured for maximum number of farmers of the state in the Kharif marketing season.

Farmers can get themselves registered free of cost through the e-Samriddhi portal at the rural level of e-Gram Kendras.

According to the Agriculture Minister, like last year, during the current year also a plan is being made to purchase pulses and oilseeds in large quantities at the Minimum Support Price so that no producer is deprived of its benefits. According to the data received, last year a record purchase of 23.47 lakh tonnes of crops worth Rs 16,223 crore was made from more than 8.53 lakh farmers at MSP in Gujarat, which gave a lot of relief to the producers.

This time also, government purchase of Kharif crops will be ensured in adequate quantity. In view of this, farmers should get their registration done within the prescribed limit.

It is noteworthy that for the Kharif marketing season of 2025-26, the Central Government has fixed the minimum support price of Rs 8768 per quintal for moong, Rs 7800 per quintal for urad, Rs 7263 per quintal for groundnut and Rs 5328 per quintal for soybean.

The number of farmers in Gujarat is around 62-65 lakh, in which the number of small and marginal farmers is high. Many crops are cultivated in the state. Gujarat is the highest producer of cotton, groundnut and castor in the country.
