India's yellow pea imports expected to cross 3.2 million metric tons
★ India’s estimated import of yellow peas (HS Code 07131010) between December 2023 and March 2025 is projected to reach a total of 3,213,413 metric tons.
★ During the period from April 2024 to March 2025, the expected imports stand at 2,044,283 metric tons.
★ Canada is expected to remain the largest supplier, with an estimated 1,659,261 metric tons of yellow peas. Russia follows with an expected 939,187.67 metric tons, and Turkey is projected to export approximately 234,382.36 metric tons to India.
★ Other notable supplying countries include  
ukraine – 55,933 metric tons  
lithuania – 67,628.66 metric tons  
united kingdom – 32,772.85 metric tons  
united states – 16,122.06 metric tons  
netherlands – 34,485.47 metric tons
★ Estimated imports for February and March 2025 are 44,632 and 39,149 metric tons respectively.
