International Corn Market
According to the USDA (NASS) report, 4% of the US corn harvest has been completed. Harvest progress stood at 1% in Indiana, 2% in Illinois, and 9% in Missouri. Crop condition ratings slipped 1% to 68% good-to-excellent, while the Brugler500 index fell 1 point to 375. Notable declines were seen in Ohio (down 23 points), Michigan (down 10), and Iowa (down 9).
USDA will release its monthly Crop Production report on Friday. A Reuters survey of analysts projects yields to drop by 2.6 bushels per acre this month to 186.2 bpa. Production is estimated at 16.516 billion bushels, down 226 million bushels from the August forecast.
Brazil’s corn exporters association ANEC has projected September exports at 6.96 MMT, up 0.59 MMT from last week’s estimate.
