According to the weekly EIA report, ethanol production in the week ending September 12 fell by 50,000 barrels per day to 1.055 million barrels per day. However, this was still 6,000 barrels per day higher compared to last year. Ethanol stocks declined by 235,000 barrels to 22.602 million barrels. Ethanol consumption in refineries rose by 42,000 barrels per day to 922,000 barrels per day.
USDA’s Export Sales report for the week ending September 11 is expected to show 2025/26 corn sales between 0.5 and 1.9 MMT.
A private South Korean importer purchased 65,000 MT of corn in a tender late last week. According to Stats Canada, corn production in the country this year increased by 1% to 15.5 MMT, higher than last year and close to the August estimate.
