President Trump has delayed some tariffs imposed on Mexico and Canada for one month, granting exemptions to the auto sector on the condition that they comply with the USMCA trade agreement.
According to the EIA report released this morning, ethanol production increased by 12,000 barrels per day in the week ending February 28, reaching 1.093 million barrels per day. Stocks decreased by 282,000 barrels, bringing the total stock down to 27.289 million barrels. This decline was driven by increased demand, as blender input rose by 44,000 barrels per day to 890,000 barrels per day. Gasoline product supply (estimated consumption) stood at 8.877 million barrels per day, the highest since the week of December 20.
Ahead of the export sales report scheduled for release on Thursday morning, analysts expect that U.S. corn bookings for the week of February 27 will range between 0.7 to 1 million metric tons (MMT) for the 2024/25 marketing year. New crop sales are expected to be between 0 to 100,000 metric tons.
