International Corn Market
★ CBOT corn closed on a strong note.
★ The U.S. President announced a 90-day suspension of tariffs on countries other than China. During this period, only a 10% tariff will be applied.
★ A heavy 125% tariff was imposed on all Chinese products.
★ For the week ending April 3, U.S. corn export deals are expected to total between 700,000 and 1.3 million tons for old crop, and up to 150,000 tons for new crop.
★ The upcoming USDA report is expected to show a reduction in U.S. corn ending stocks.
★ Argentina’s production is expected to decline by 700,000 tons to 49.3 million tons, while Brazil's output is projected at 125.91 million tons.
