International Cotton Market
ICE cotton futures posted gains of 25 to 71 points on Wednesday. Support came from outside markets as crude oil futures rose by $1.29 per barrel, while the U.S. dollar index dropped $0.922 to 99.143.
Markets will be closed on Friday in observance of Good Friday.
According to The Seam, 4,340 cash bales were sold on April 15 at an average price of 64.27 cents per pound.
The Cotlook A Index dropped 170 points on Tuesday, closing at 76.40 cents per pound.
ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged on April 15 at 14,478 bales.
The USDA’s Adjusted World Price (AWP) fell by 212 points last week to 53.10 cents per pound. It is scheduled for an update tomorrow.
