International Wheat Market
The wheat complex was weaker across the board on Thursday. CBT soft red wheat futures fell 3 to 4 cents. KC HRW wheat futures were down 5 to 6 ¼ cents at the close, while MPLS spring wheat futures lost 2 to 3 cents.
Weekly Export Sales were reported at 377,459 MT this morning, the highest in 3 weeks and 53.23% above the same week in 2024. The largest buyer was the Philippines at 186,000 MT, followed by Nigeria at 104,300 MT and Mexico at 96,000 MT.
A South Korean mill purchased 30,000 MT of US wheat overnight. Coceral has estimated the combined EU and UK wheat crop at 147.4 MMT, up 4.3 MMT from their June estimate.
