Maharashtra Leads in Soybean Procurement, Total Purchase Reaches 1.473 Million Metric Tons by February 17, 2025
New Delhi: As of February 17, 2025, a total of 1,473,838.20 metric tons of soybean has been procured under the Kharif 2024 season. Among the contributing states, Maharashtra leads the tally with 836,741.29 metric tons (57%) of total procurement.  
State-wise Procurement Details:  
- Maharashtra: 836,741.29 metric tons (57%)
- Madhya Pradesh: 388,900.17 metric tons (26%)
- Rajasthan: 98,866.54 metric tons (7%)
- Telangana: 83,075.55 metric tons (6%)
- Gujarat: 48,054.81 metric tons (3%)
- Karnataka: 18,199.85 metric tons (1%)  
According to this report, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh are making the most significant contributions to total procurement, while other states have recorded comparatively lower soybean purchases.
