Masur R 25 Tender: Prices Under Pressure

Central agencies awarded Masur R 25 tenders in Madhya Pradesh at relatively low rates, putting pressure on domestic prices.

Madhya Pradesh – Tender Rates:

18 August 2025 – Rs.7533

10 September 2025 – Rs.7513

15 September 2025 – Rs.7225–7312

17 September 2025 – Rs. 7101

The lower tender rates are weighing on domestic prices, and imports from Australia and Canada are expected to start next month, where production has been good. Currently, market supply is adequate, but falling prices may prompt farmers to shift to alternative crops in the coming months.

If this trend continues, India could become a full-scale importer of pulses, similar to edible oils.
