News Capsule: Argentina’s Soymeal Exports Down 33% in February
★ In February 2026, Argentina exported 13.3 lakh tonnes of soybean meal, down 33% from 20.1 lakh tonnes in January and 27% lower than 18.2 lakh tonnes in February last year.
★ Exports to the European Union declined to 2.7 lakh tonnes, while shipments to Asian countries also fell to 5.8 lakh tonnes. However, exports to Indonesia and Turkey increased.
★ For the 2025/26 season (October–February), total exports stood at 108.7 lakh tonnes, compared to 117.8 lakh tonnes in the same period last year.
