★ According to the USDA, China purchased nearly 400,000 tonnes of soybeans from the U.S. yesterday, including 330,000 tonnes for the 2025–26 marketing year and 66,000 tonnes for 2026–27.
★ As per the USDA, during the week ended December 18, U.S. soybean export inspections totaled 870,000 tonnes, which is 51% higher than the same period in 2024. China was the largest buyer with 386,000 tonnes, followed by Mexico (177,000 tonnes) and Germany (69,000 tonnes).
★ Since the start of the season on September 1, the U.S. has exported a total of 14.58 million tonnes of soybeans so far.
★ In the week ended December 4, the U.S. exported 1.55 million tonnes of soybeans. Soymeal exports were 275,000 tonnes, while soy oil exports were around 12–13 tonnes.
★ According to AgRural, Brazil’s soybean production could reach 180.4 million tonnes, up 2.0 million tonnes from the previous estimate.
★ China imported 5.85 million tonnes of soybeans from Brazil and 1.78 million tonnes from Argentina. Together, these two countries accounted for 94% of China’s total soybean imports, while imports from the U.S. remained very weak.
