News Capsule: Madagascar Clove Export Update (November 6, 2025)
★ The Madagascar government has not imposed a total export ban.
★ There is only a temporary 7–10 day halt in customs clearance for shipments.
★ The Ministry (MIC) is finalizing export licenses for the 2025–26 season.
★ On October 31, a list of 108 exporters was released, and companies must apply for certification between November 1–15.
★ No containers will depart from Toamasina Port until certificates are issued, after which loading will resume immediately.

Market Impact:
★ Around 1,200–1,500 tons of cloves are expected to remain held up for the next week.
★ Prices in Mumbai have risen by ₹8–10/kg.
★ In Delhi, prices are also being quoted ₹15–20/kg higher.
