Paddy Procurement in Uttar Pradesh
★ In western Uttar Pradesh, paddy procurement will begin from 1st October, while in the rest of the state it will start from 1st November.
★ For the 2025-26 season, the procurement target has been set at 60 lakh tonnes of paddy. So far, 5,022 farmers have registered.
★ In the previous season, Uttar Pradesh procured 57.7 lakh tonnes of paddy.
★ Last season, weak market prices led to higher procurement volumes.
★ iGrain India believes that procurement may increase further in the current season as well.
