Recent Price Trends:
★ Over the past year, soybean prices have mostly remained under pressure and consistently below the MSP across all major mandis.
★ Currently, most mandis are witnessing prices in the range of ₹4200 to ₹4500 per quintal. The decline has been attributed to multiple factors:
Record domestic production
Weak crushing demand
Rising imports of edible oils
Reduced domestic demand for soymeal due to DDGS
Low export demand for soymeal
★ While festive demand in the coming months may support a slight price rise, sustained upward movement remains uncertain due to the above pressure points.
★ Much will depend on the sowing pattern of soybeans this season, which will shape price movements going forward.
