Impact of Government Procurement on Markets:
★ Farmers who were previously unwilling to sell their produce below the MSP may now increase their sales.
★ There is a possibility of produce being weighed at government procurement centers, something that was almost nonexistent before.
★ Farmers who saw peak prices of Rs. 11,000-12,000 last season may still be hesitant to sell at these current rates.
★ Government procurement is expected to result in a slight increase in tur prices.
