Gram prices continue to fluctuate due to sluggish demand

New Delhi. During the current week, the gram market witnessed a fluctuating trend. Prices have not improved much due to limited demand. There has been a steady decline in the arrival of gram in the major producing markets of the country, due to which the prices have now reached close to their minimum level. However, despite the fall in prices, no significant improvement has been seen in the demand for gram dal and gram flour. Due to this, the prospects of a boom in the market remain weak at the moment. Seeing the market prices falling continuously, farmers and stockists are shying away from selling gram. In this environment of uncertainty, the market movement remains weak at the moment. In view of the possible increase in consumption with the upcoming festive season, market experts are hoping that prices may rise due to improvement in demand. Festive demand can re-activate the gram market.
