Gram prices rise due to strong demand
New Delhi. Due to the selling slowing down and the demand remaining strong, the prices of gram registered a strong rise this week. Due to the weak availability of gram, the supply of gram in the market remains weak. In view of the festive season, the demand for gram remains strong, which is supporting the rising prices of gram. NAFED is passing the gram tender in very small quantities. Seeing the weak stock of gram, the bidding of gram is taking place at high prices. In view of all these reasons, further rise in the prices of gram can be seen. Due to the good buying by the dal millers, a strong increase of Rs 450 per quintal was registered in the prices of Delhi gram this week and with this increase, the price at the weekend became Madhya Pradesh line Rs 7825/7850 and Rajasthan line Rs 7875/7950 per quintal.
Port
Due to the support of the rise in the price of Desi Chana and increased buying, the price of Mumbai Tanzania Chana rose by Rs. 600 and Australia Chana by Rs. 650 per quintal this week and with this rise, the price at the end of the week became Tanzania Rs. 7300/7400 and Australia Rs. 7700/7750 per quintal.
Rajasthan
Due to the increase in the demand of dal millers and gram flour manufacturers, the price of Rajasthan Chana saw a good rise of Rs. 300/525 per quintal during the current week and with this rise, the price at the end of the week became Jodhpur Rs. 6300/7200, Jaipur Rs. 8000/8050, Bikaner Rs. 7250/7350, Kishangarh Rs. 7000/7350 and Kota Rs. 5500/7300 per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to calm selling and strong demand, Maharashtra gram prices witnessed a sharp rise of Rs. 500/600 per quintal during the current week and with this rise, the prices at the weekend became Solapur Rs. 6200/7900, Akola Rs. 7800/7850, Nagpur Rs. 7850/7900, Udgir Rs. 6500/7400 and Ahmednagar Rs. 7300/7500 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to better buying, Madhya Pradesh gram prices witnessed a rise of Rs. 350/600 per quintal this week and with this rise, the prices at the weekend became Ashoknagar Rs. 7400/7600, Bina Rs. 6900/7250, Ganjbasoda Rs. 7000/7600, Katni Rs. 7750/7800 and Indore Rs. 7650/7850 per quintal.
Karnataka
Due to increased buying, prices of Karnataka gram witnessed a rise of Rs. 300/450 per quintal during the current week and the prices reached Gulbarga Rs. 7600/7900, Bidar Rs. 6095/7381, Gadag Rs. 6017/7825 and Hubli Rs. 6501/7401 per quintal at the weekend.
Others
Due to support of all round rise and increased buying, Raipur gram witnessed a rise of Rs. 600 per quintal this week and the prices reached Rs. 7700/7850 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kanpur gram also witnessed an increase of Rs. 625 per quintal this week and reached Rs. 7925 per quintal at the weekend.
Gram Dal
With the support of rise in gram prices, prices of gram dal have registered a strong jump of Rs. 600/800 per quintal during the current week and with this jump the prices at the weekend became Delhi Rs. 9100/9450, Bhatapara Rs. 9300/9500, Katni Rs. 9200, Gulbarga Rs. 9100/9400, Jalgaon Rs. 9300, Indore Rs. 9700, Jaipur Rs. 9250 and Kanpur Rs. 9000/9100 per quintal.
