Pea prices fall due to sluggish buying
Kanpur. Pea prices have seen a downward trend this week in major markets across the country. Prices are also under pressure due to lack of customer support at higher prices and increased selling pressure. While customer demand remains sluggish. According to traders, the decrease in demand and active selling by stockists has created a bearish environment in the market. Due to increased selling by importers and weak demand, imported pea prices have softened by Rs 25/50 per quintal during the current week and the prices remained at Mumbai Canada Rs 3725, Russia Rs 3575 and currency Canada Rs 3550 and Russia Rs 3450 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Kolkata peas also fell by Rs 50 per quintal this week and remained at Canada Rs 3900 and Russia Rs 3800 per quintal at the weekend. Due to sluggish buying, Kanpur peas prices fell by Rs 75 per quintal this week and with this fall, the price remained at Rs 3800 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Lalitpur peas also witnessed a fall of Rs 150 per quintal this week and the price remained at Rs 3300/3600 per quintal at the weekend. Due to lack of demand, Rath and Mahoba peas prices fell by Rs 150/200 per quintal this week and with this fall, the price remained at Rs 3200/3300 for Rath and Rs 3400/3800 per quintal at the weekend. Similarly, Jalaun peas also fell by Rs 150 and Konch by Rs 150 per quintal and at the weekend, Jalaun remained at Rs 3411 and Konch at Rs 3250/3450 per quintal. Due to the impact of all round fall and weak buying, the price of peas in Madhya Pradesh has fallen by Rs. 100/200 per quintal this week and the price remained at Rs. 3375/3600 in Damoh and Rs. 3300/3400 per quintal in Bina at the weekend.

Due to the impact of fall in pea prices and weak demand, the price of peas has seen a decline of Rs. 100 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Rs. 3900/3950 in Kanpur and Rs. 4000/4100 per quintal in Indore at the weekend.
