One-sided decline in Tuvar continues due to sluggish demand
Mumbai. Due to continued selling pressure and lack of customer support, Tuvar prices remained bearish during the current week. Due to lack of demand for Tuvar dal, buying by stockists and dal millers remained limited, due to which the prices continued to fall. Due to increased selling by importers and weak demand, Chennai Tuvar Lemon witnessed a decline of Rs 125 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the price of Lemon remained at Rs 6775/6825 per quintal. Similarly, Mumbai African Tuvar prices witnessed a decline of Rs 100/150 per quintal this week and at the end of the week, the prices remained Mozambique White Rs 6900/6950, Gajri Rs 6800, Malawi Rs 6650/6700, Dodomo Rs 6550/6600 per quintal.
Burma
Due to increased selling by exporters and weak buying, Burma Tuvar prices fell by $ 20 per ton this week and with this fall, the price remained at $ 805 per ton at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to the impact of port decline and sluggish demand, Delhi Tuvar Lemon saw a decline of Rs 125 per quintal and Desi Tuvar also saw a decline of Rs 125 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the price of Lemon remained at Rs 7250 and Desi at Rs 7375/7425 per quintal at the weekend.
Maharashtra
Due to increased selling and weak buying, Tuvar prices fell by Rs 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the price remained at Rs 6500/7300 for Solapur, Rs 7275/7475 for Akola, Rs 7400 for Nagpur and Rs 6700/7225 per quintal at Dudhni.
Karnataka
Due to increased selling and weak buying, Karnataka tuvar prices declined by Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Gulbarga Rs. 6400/7200, Raichur Rs. 6570/7182, Yadgir Rs. 6844/7429 and Talikot Rs. 6764/7119 per quintal.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak buying by dal millers, Madhya Pradesh tuvar prices declined by Rs. 100/150 per quintal this week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Katni Rs. 7300/7400, Jabalpur Rs. 5000/7000, Pipariya Rs. 6000/7250 and Kareli Rs. 3500/7170 per quintal.
Others
Due to the impact of all-round fall and weak buying, the price of Raipur Tuvar fell by Rs. 250 per quintal this week and remained at Rs. 7550/7750 per quintal at the weekend. Whereas the prices of Kanpur Tuvar increased by Rs. 150 per quintal this week and reached Rs. 7250 per quintal at the weekend.
Tuvar Dal
Due to the impact of fall in Tuvar prices and weak demand, Tuvar Dal prices have fallen by Rs. 150/300 per quintal during the current week and with this fall, the weekend prices have become Delhi Fatka Rs. 10650/11000, Katni Fatka Rs. 10550/10750, Akola Rs. 10200/11400, Latur Fatka Rs. 11000/11200, Gulbarga Fatka Rs. 9800/10600 and Kanpur Fatka Rs. 10600/11000 per quintal.
