Demand continues to reduce prices of Urad
Chennai. Due to lack of customers, prices of Urad declined during the current week. Due to the lack of demand for Urad dal, demand from dal millers has remained very low. Due to which there is pressure on the prices of Urad. Sporadic arrivals of Urad have started in the producing markets of Maharashtra. Currently, the condition of Urad crop remains good. Due to lack of customer support and increased selling pressure, Chennai Urad registered a decline of Rs 300 per quintal this week and the price at the weekend remained at Rs 8300 for FAQ and Rs 8750/75 per quintal for SQ. Similarly, Mumbai Urad also declined by Rs 250 per quintal this week and remained at Rs 8500 per quintal at the weekend.
Burma
Due to increased selling by exporters and weak buying, Burma Urad FAQ declined by $ 20 and SQ by $ 20 per tonne during the current week and the price remained at $ 960 per FAQ and $ 1050 per SQ at the weekend.
Delhi
Due to the impact of port decline and weak demand from dal millers, Delhi Urad FAQ declined by Rs 275 and SQ by Rs 300 per quintal during the current week and the price remained at Rs 8700 per FAQ and Rs 9150 per SQ at the weekend.
Madhya Pradesh
Due to weak buying, prices of Madhya Pradesh urad witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices at the weekend remained at Ashoknagar Rs. 6000/7600, Ganjbasoda Rs. 6000/8500, Jabalpur Rs. 8000/8600, Kareli Rs. 6000/8500 and Indore Rs. 8000/8500 per quintal.
Maharashtra
Due to sluggish buying, prices of Maharashtra urad witnessed a decline of Rs. 100/200 per quintal during the current week and the prices at the weekend remained at Akola Rs. 9000, Latur Rs. 8000/8200, Barshi Rs. 6500/8000 and Ahmednagar Rs. 6500/7500 per quintal.
Others
Due to the sluggish demand of dal millers, this week, Krishna district urad of Andhra Pradesh saw a decline of Rs 300 and Vijayawada urad also saw a decline of Rs 325 per quintal and the price remained at Rs 8750 for Krishna district and Rs 8800/8900 per quintal for Vijayawada at the weekend. Similarly, Raipur urad also fell by Rs 100 this week and remained at Rs 9300 per quintal at the weekend.
Urad dal
Due to the impact of the fall in urad and weak demand, the prices of urad dal saw a decline of Rs 150/300 per quintal during the current week and with this decline, the prices remained at Delhi Rs 10650/11700, Bhatapara Rs 11200, Jalgaon Rs 11800, Meerut Rs 10300/10500 and Indore Rs 10000/12300 per quintal.
