Wheat Bran Export from India
★ The export of wheat bran from India has commenced, and export licenses have been issued for this purpose.
★ Any exporter interested in exporting can obtain a license from DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) by following the procedure below:
★ To obtain the license, the following key points must be fulfilled:
1. License Application –
★ The exporter must apply through the DGFT online portal.
2. Export Quantity –
★ A maximum of 1000 metric tons (MT) of wheat bran can be exported.
3. HS Code –
★ The HS Code for wheat bran is 23023000. The application must be made under this code.
4. FOB Price (Price Declaration) –
★ At the time of application, the exporter must declare the FOB (Free on Board) price, which includes the cost of loading the goods onto the ship.
5. Exporting Country –
★ The name of the country to which the wheat bran is being exported must be mentioned in the application.
6. Port of Loading –
★ Details of the Indian port from which the goods will be shipped must be provided (e.g., Mumbai Port, Kandla Port, Kolkata Port, etc.).
7. Port of Discharge –
★ The name of the foreign port where the goods will be unloaded is also mandatory.
8. Document Upload –
★ All the above information (FOB price, export country, quantity, port details) must be uploaded on the DGFT portal. The license will be issued based on this information.
★ Exporters must ensure that the quantity (1000 MT), HS Code (23023000), FOB price, export country, and loading and discharge ports are correctly and accurately uploaded online. Only then will DGFT issue the export license and approve the export process.
