Agriculture Minister held a review meeting with the Agriculture Ministers of the states on various schemes
The Agriculture Minister conducted an online meeting with state agriculture ministers to review various schemes. During the meeting, it was emphasized that arrangements for procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP) are in place to ensure that farmers receive fair prices for their produce. Under the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay Sanrakshan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA), 1.60 lakh metric tons of oilseeds, pulses, and copra were procured. 
Key procurement highlights by the government:
- Wheat: 33.38 crore metric tons from 2014-15 to 2024-25.  
- Maize: 3.6 lakh metric tons from 2019-20 to 2024-25.  
- Coarse grains: 41.19 lakh metric tons from 2019-20 to 2024-25.  
- Pulses: 171 lakh metric tons from 2014-15 to 2024-25.
Foodgrain production increased significantly from 265.05 million tons in 2013-14 to 328.85 million tons in 2023-24. Under the National Edible Oil Mission, 1.38 lakh hectares of land were brought under palm oil cultivation to promote its production.
