Australia exported about 21 lakh tonnes of wheat in February

Sydney. According to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), Australia exported a total of 20,85,287 tonnes of wheat, including durum, in February 2025. This comprised 18,84,312 tonnes shipped in bulk, 2.01 lakh tonnes via containers, and 52,500 tonnes of durum wheat.

During the December 2024 to February 2025 period, Australia exported approximately 55.30 lakh tonnes of wheat in bulk—19.67 lakh tonnes in December, 16.78 lakh tonnes in January, and 18.84 lakh tonnes in February.

Major bulk export destinations included the Philippines (10.09 lakh tonnes), Indonesia (9.13 lakh tonnes), Yemen (4.75 lakh tonnes), Vietnam, South Korea, and Thailand.

India imported 31,000 tonnes during the period—13,000 tonnes in December, 18,000 tonnes in January, and none in February.

Container shipments of wheat totaled about 5.20 lakh tonnes during the quarter, with the highest volume going to Thailand (1.01 lakh tonnes).

India received 9023 tonnes in containers—5041 tonnes in December, 2009 tonnes in January, and 1973 tonnes in February.
