चीनी मिलों को मोदी 3.0 सरकार से उम्मीद
★ 2023-24 सीजन में 321.5 लाख टन चीनी उत्पादन रहा जो घरेलू खपत से अधिक है।
★ उत्पादन अधिक होने व निर्यात रोके जाने के बाद 87 लाख टन का स्टॉक बच सकता है।
★ 2024-25 सीजन में 297.5 लाख टन उत्पादन पहुंचने की उम्मीद।
★ 2023-24 सीजन की शुरूआती में 55.7 लाख टन का स्टॉक उपलब्ध था, खपत 290 लाख टन के बाद स्टॉक गत वर्ष से 32 लाख टन अधिक।
★ 2024-25 सीजन में 297.5 लाख टन उत्पादन, 290 लाख टन खपत के बाद 92 लाख टन केरी आउट स्टॉक बच सकता है।
★ मिलों ने सरकार से कहा कि देश में चीनी की उपलब्धता अधिक होने से कीमतों में देखी जा रही है गिरावट जिसका असर गन्ना भुगतान पर पड़ रहा है।
★ साथ ही एफआरपी व SAP बढाए जाने के बाद जूट पैकिंग अनिवार्य किये जाने से लागत अधिक बैठ रही है।
★ मिलों ने सरकार से MSP जो 31 रुपए प्रति किलो है को बढ़ाकर 36-37 रुपए प्रति किलो करने की मांग की।
★ मिलों ने कहा कि सरकार को एथनोल पालिसी में भी बदलाव करना होगा।
★ गन्ना रस व B मोलासिस से एथनोल उत्पादन बढ़ाने पर जोर देना होगा ताकि 20% एथनोल ब्लेंडिंग का लक्ष्य पूरा हो।
★ सरप्लस स्टॉक उपलब्ध होने के बाद चीनी निर्यात खोलना चाहिए।
★ गन्ना रस चीनी द्वारा बायो कंप्रेस्ड, बायो गेस और हाइड्रोजन का उत्पादन बढ़ाने के लिए उद्योग को आर्थिक मदद देनी होगी।

Sugar mills expectation from Modi 3.0 government
★ In 2023-24 season, 321.5 lakh tonnes of sugar was produced which is more than domestic consumption.
★ After higher production and stopping of exports, 87 lakh tonnes of stock may remain.
★ Production is expected to reach 297.5 lakh tonnes in 2024-25 season.
★ At the beginning of 2023-24 season, 55.7 lakh tonnes of stock was available, after consumption of 290 lakh tonnes, the stock is 32 lakh tonnes more than last year.
★ In 2024-25 season, after production of 297.5 lakh tonnes, consumption of 290 lakh tonnes, 92 lakh tonnes of carry out stock may remain.
★ The mills told the government that due to higher availability of sugar in the country, prices are witnessing a decline which is affecting the sugarcane payment.
★ Also, after increasing FRP and SAP, making jute packing compulsory has increased the cost.
★ The mills have demanded the government to increase the MSP from Rs. 31 per kg to Rs. 36-37 per kg.
★ The mills said that the government will also have to make changes in the ethanol policy.
★ Emphasis will have to be laid on increasing ethanol production from sugarcane juice and B molasses so that the target of 20% ethanol blending is achieved.
★ Sugar exports should be opened after surplus stock is available.
★ The industry will have to be given financial help to increase the production of bio compressed, bio gas and hydrogen from sugarcane juice sugar.
