★ ICE Cotton Futures saw gains of 20 to 36 points across most contracts on Monday. The US Dollar Index was down by $0.053 at 97.845. Crude oil was up by $3.95 by midday.
★ According to the NASS Crop Progress report, 11% of the U.S. cotton crop had been planted as of April 19, which is 1 percentage point ahead of the 5-year average of 10%.
★ On The Seam, 1,783 bales were sold on April 17 at an average price of 74.86 cents/lb. The Cotlook A Index rose by 75 points on April 17 to 87.35 cents.
★ ICE Cotton Stocks increased by 2,600 bales on Friday, taking total stocks to 164,967 bales. The Adjusted World Price rose by 287 points on Thursday to 61.61 cents/lb.
