Soybean International Market
★ According to the USDA, 0.75 million tonnes of soybean export inspections were recorded from the U.S. in the week ending April 16. Among these, China purchased the highest at 0.446 million tonnes, followed by Egypt at 0.117 million tonnes and Japan at 0.076 million tonnes. This total is 33% higher than the same period last year.
★ Total soybean exports in the current season have reached 32.17 million tonnes so far, which is 25% lower than last year.
★ According to AgRural, soybean harvesting in Brazil reached 92% as of Thursday.
★ As per Safras & Mercado, Brazil’s soybean production could reach 178.1 million tonnes, about 0.4 million tonnes higher than last year.
