As of February 10, large managed money speculators trimmed 20,576 contracts from their net short position, reducing it to 48,210 contracts. This indicates short covering by funds.
Export Sales data released Thursday showed total corn export commitments (shipped and unshipped) at 60.805 million metric tons (MMT), up 31% from last year. That accounts for 73% of USDA’s full-year export projection, matching the average pace.
