★ Farmers are concerned about wheat crop yield due to delayed sowing.

★ The delay in sowing this year, caused by issues like late paddy harvesting, a shortage of DAP fertilizer, and high temperatures, could affect productivity.

★ A delay of one week could reduce yield by two quintals.

★ As sowing gets delayed, the crop will face higher temperatures during harvesting, which may lead to shriveled grains.

★ Punjab Agricultural University stated that while wheat sowing should be completed by November 30, some varieties can still be sown in December and January.
