★ Prices reached the highest level due to increased use of maize in ethanol. If this trend continues, the use of maize for ethanol will increase.
★ Maize is being imported at low tariff under TRQ. Imports are expected to increase further in future.
★ Maize production will also increase in India. Farmers are getting good prices.
★ There is a strong possibility of prices rising further.
★ Many units are being built in the country to make ethanol from grains.
★ Maize that came to Bihar in the last Rabi season, maize in the current Kharif season and maize to come in the upcoming Rabi season will be sold vigorously. Large quantity of maize stock available in the warehouse.
