Indonesia's Rice Production and Stock:
- Indonesia's rice production is expected to reach 32 million tons in 2025, a 3% increase from this year's estimated 31 million tons.
- The country's rice reserves have hit their highest in 5 years, reaching 1.9 to 2 million tons.
- In 2023, due to El Niño, Indonesia had to import 3.5 million tons of rice.
Myanmar Rice Exports:
- Myanmar exported over 1.7 million tons of rice and broken rice in the first 8 months of the 2024-2025 financial year.
- Exports from April to October:
- April: 111,862 tons ($55 million)
- May: 71,279.5 tons ($36 million)
- June: 162,325.75 tons ($84 million)
- July: 165,444 tons ($81 million)
- August: 207,369 tons ($97 million)
- September: 219,560 tons ($104 million)
- October: 424,784 tons ($189 million)
- November: 334,530 tons ($156 million)
Thailand's Rice Export Targets:
- Thailand set a rice export target of 7.5 million tons for 2025, down from 10 million tons this year.
- Rice exports are expected to reach 10 million tons in the current year, with a 14% increase in exports in the first 11 months to 9.27 million tons.
- The export value for the year could exceed $6 billion, with strong demand ahead of major year-end holidays.
