★ In recent years, there has been significant activity in China's sesame seed imports:
★ In 2019, China imported 875,000 metric tons of sesame, reflecting an annual growth rate of 7.3% since 2014.
★ Between January and October 2021, sesame imports reached 1 million tons, which was 11.59% higher compared to the previous year.
★ In April 2023, the imported volume stood at 73,084 tons, which was 45.32% lower compared to the same month the previous year.
