International Cotton Market  
ICE cotton futures recorded losses of 59 to 64 points in the nearby contracts on Thursday. Crude oil futures were 4 cents per barrel higher on the day, while the US dollar index dropped by $0.858.
Export sales data showed that a total of 244,673 running bales (RB) of cotton were sold during the week ending on February 6. This was 29.52% higher than the previous week and 52.48% larger than the same week last year. The largest buyer was Bangladesh, which purchased 54,100 RB, while 51,600 metric tons were sold to Vietnam. Shipments totaled 260,905 RB, the largest for the marketing year so far. Vietnam was the top destination with 91,000 RB, while 57,500 RB went to Pakistan.
