ICE Cotton Futures ended Wednesday’s session 24 to 45 points lower, with the May contract expiring.
Crude oil prices fell by $1.14 per barrel, and the U.S. Dollar Index rose by $0.678, reaching 99.725.
The U.S.-China meeting in Geneva will also discuss export controls and tariff issues relevant to cotton.
On Tuesday, The Seam's online auction sold 4,555 bales at an average price of 69.37 cents/lb.
Cotlook A Index rose 275 points to reach 80, and ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 14,049 bales as of May 6.
The USDA's Adjusted World Price (AWP) increased by 6 points, now at 54.94 cents/lb.
