International Soybean Market
Drought Conditions: Parts of Argentina are experiencing drought, with dry and arid conditions also reported in southern Brazil.
U.S. Sales (Week of Dec 19): The U.S. sold 978,000 tons of soybeans for the 2024-25 season, with China purchasing 410,000 tons and Spain 260,000 tons. Sales for the 2025-26 season are projected to reach 125,000 tons.
Soymeal Exports: During the same period, 485,000 tons of soymeal export deals were made, including 145,000 tons bought by Colombia.
Soybean Oil Exports: Exceeded 40,000 tons.
Export Growth: U.S. exports of soybeans and soymeal have increased after a long period of sluggish trade.
Argentina Planting: According to BAGE, soybean planting in Argentina has reached 18.4 million hectares, 200,000 hectares less than last year.
