International Soybean Market
President Trump on Tuesday announced a preliminary trade agreement with Indonesia, which reportedly includes commitments to purchase about $4.5 billion in agricultural products.
This morning, USDA reported an export sale for the 2025/26 marketing year under its daily reporting system. Private exporters sold 120,000 metric tons of U.S. soybeans to “unknown” destinations.
Analysts expect sales for the 2024/25 marketing year in the week ending July 10 to range between 200,000 and 600,000 metric tons. New crop export sales are estimated between 400,000 and 900,000 metric tons. Soybean meal sales across both marketing years are expected between 200,000 and 700,000 metric tons, while soybean oil business is expected between 0 and 23,000 metric tons.
Chinese importers estimate soybean arrivals in July to reach about 10.5 MMT from all origins, up from 9.85 MMT in the same month last year.
