According to the Wall Street Journal, a Chinese trade official is visiting Washington, D.C. this week for meetings with U.S. trade representatives.
On Monday afternoon, NASS Crop Progress data showed condition ratings up 1% to 69% good/excellent, with the Brugler500 index 1 point higher to 374. Illinois ratings dropped 7 points, Iowa fell 6, and North Dakota slipped 2. Some improvement was seen in fringe states, with Nebraska up 5 points and Ohio up 8. Eastern growing regions are expected to remain dry next week.
ANEC estimates Brazil’s August soybean exports at 8.9 MMT, which is 0.04 MMT lower than the prior projection.
