Large managed money spec funds in soybean futures and options had reduced their net long position by 28,554 contracts as of February 11. After this reduction, they cut their new net long position nearly in half, leaving it at just 28,475 contracts on that Tuesday.
NOPA data will be released on Tuesday (delayed due to the holiday), with traders expecting January crush totals to reach 204.54 million metric tons (MMT), which would be 10.1% higher than last year's total if realized. Soy oil stocks are estimated to be around 1.289 billion pounds.
