International Soybean Market
A U.S.-China meeting is scheduled for Saturday in Geneva, involving U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent, USTR Greer, and Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng.
The key agenda includes easing export controls and discussing broader tariff issues.
For the week ending May 1, soybean export bookings are expected to range from 200,000 to 500,000 MT, with New Crop sales between 0 and 150,000 MT.
Soymeal sales are projected between 200,000 and 400,000 MT, while bean oil may see net reductions of 5,000 MT up to sales of 20,000 MT.
Ahead of Monday’s WASDE report, a Reuters survey shows analysts expect the U.S. soybean yield to be 52.5 bpa, with total production at 4.338 billion bushels.
Brazil exported 15.271 MMT of soybeans in April — a 4.03% increase over March and 3.97% higher year-over-year.
ANEC estimates May soybean exports at 12.6 MMT.
