USDA will release its Export Sales Report on Thursday, with traders expecting 2025/26 wheat bookings to be between 300,000 and 700,000 metric tons.
Reports from Europe indicate that Algeria’s OAIC purchased up to 1 million metric tons of milling wheat on Tuesday. While the exact quantity and origin have not been confirmed, shipment is scheduled for September and October. France has historically been a key supplier, but Bulgaria and the Black Sea region have been capturing much of the recent trade.
A wheat importer from Taiwan purchased a total of 89,650 metric tons of U.S. wheat in a tender overnight.
FranceAgriMer estimates that ending stocks of soft wheat for the French crop will reach 3.87 MMT, up from 2.33 MMT last year.
