The weekly NASS Crop Progress report showed the winter wheat harvest 98% complete. The spring wheat crop was 53% harvested, slightly behind the 54% average. The final condition rating for the year had 49% of the crop in good/excellent, down 1%, with the Brugler500 index steady at 333.
The forecast for next week shows heavy rain of 1 to 3 inches across much of the Southern Plains.
IKAR raised Russia’s wheat crop estimate by 0.5 MMT to 86 MMT, with exports raised by the same amount to 43 MMT. The European Commission estimated EU soft wheat exports at 2.18 MMT from July 1 to August 24, down sharply from 4.15 MMT during the same period last year.
