International Wheat Market
Cold temperatures in parts of the U.S. with little snow cover, along with the potential for winter kill in the Black Sea region, are providing some support to the market in the coming week.
According to CFTC's Commitment of Traders data, speculators reduced their net short position by a total of 7,633 contracts as of Tuesday, bringing their net short to 82,809 contracts. In KC wheat, they cut their net short position by 5,733 contracts, reducing it to 53,248 contracts.
France's soft wheat crop was reported to be 73% good/excellent as of February 10, up 5 percentage points from the same time last year.
