Kabuli Chickpea Market – July 2025 Report
★ Prices gained – Strong export demand from India supported Kabuli chickpea prices, along with firm trends in desi chickpeas.
★ In Indore, Kabuli chickpeas traded at ₹9,800/quintal in the first week, followed by an increase in the second and third weeks, reaching ₹10,500/quintal. In the current week, Indore Kabuli chickpeas are trading in the range of ₹10,200–10,300/quintal. Similar trends were seen in other markets.
★ Indore spot container (42/44 count) prices, which were at ₹11,200 earlier this month, rose to ₹12,100 on Monday and closed at ₹12,000 on 30th July.
★ Canadian Kabuli chickpea harvest will take some more time to arrive.
★ Exports from India increased due to lower export prices.
★ The new Canadian crop, expected after September, may put some pressure on international prices.
★ For now, the likelihood of a decline in Kabuli chickpea prices before September remains low.
